3/31

So with this comes the end of my project. My last 2 uploads are going to be my project and the CCR. From this project I learned a lot about how to manage and keep up with certain things. It was difficult at first but then after you get use to it, it becomes like second nature and a thing that is just constantly on your mind. My project mainly came out to how I wanted it too and I even learned how to do really smooth transitions with the film dissolve feature. It made one scene I had come out very nicely and it helped me perfectly show the repeat and how it worked. Overall I had a pretty fun time making this project because it really made me show my creativity and it helped me learn new things along the way.

I finished getting all of my footage and now it is time for the editing part of the opening. For the music I found some music with the YouTube studio audio library so it was free to use by everyone. The songs are eerie in both scenes. I made it like due to the fact of how hard it was gunna be to transition songs from happy to eerie within the span of 2 seconds. So with that in mind I decided to keep to the eerie music but to change it to even more eerie music to show that something is wrong. That was the only major change I had for my project so far. Other than that everything is going along smoothly and recording went smoothly as well.

3/29

I'm back from spring break and I've decided to start recording my opening just so I have time to edit which won't take long but it'll save me time i have for the end. My recording would be shot around 12-1 AM since I don't have much to record due to the fact that i'll be reusing some footage to show the repeat. I'll have the help of my mom to get some of the tracking shots of me walking and my feet for a tracking shot. The rest will be shot by me and it would mainly consist of medium shots and close ups. I could get all of my recording done in one day it will just take a couple takes but it shouldn't take long whatsoever. I plan on recording for around 3 hours maybe 3 and a half just so I can double check my shots and make sure I have the best shots needed for my opening.

Another topic I'm making final decisions for is the music I would use in my opening. I still plan on using some up beat music in the beginning to not immediately set the mood to that but to build up to it. My plan was to switch up the music right after the first repeat happens. After the repeat happens then I'd obviously change it to build up that kind of suspense. Only problem is how long the song would play for because I don't want that much suspense i just want enough for the person to realize that something bad is happening. So that would be me idea for the music for the whole opening.

So today I want to discuss my editing that I wanna do for my opening. I want to do like a dip to black opening of me waking up and getting out of bed. I don't know if I want to do jump cuts or smooth transitions that fade in between to make it seem like a slow morning. For my lighting I don't have to worry since I'll have natural lighting from the window and since the time I will record will provide a lot of lighting. For my credits I don't know if I want to roll them out at the end or throughout the beginning of the opening. I feel like it would be better if I rolled them out during the beginning and at the end of the opening I fade to black and have the word "Repeat" in bold letters in the middle of the screen to obviously show the title and just to add to the dramatic affect. All in all it should be about 1:30 so it should be just good enough for the time limit.
