Comedy films have been around for many years and are continuing to make people laugh.

1. Comedy has a wide variety when regarding to its audience. It all depends on what the base film is about and who is producing it. The comedy in a film could be based towards teens or adults. So with comedy it is a very wide variety.

2. Genre conventions within Comedy are pretty common. Comedy can revolve around any genre in actuality. You can always add a bit of comedy to every movie and it could be any type of comedy that could suit anyone's humor. For strictly comedic movies you can see a lot of similarities within all of them, for example they all have a the same kid of plots of like relationship problems or just normal everyday problems. Usually the production of comedy is just simple and doesn't require to much unless you include CGI, for example, "Ted" was a film that involves a CGI bear that joins a man in his journey. That is when it could get difficult but it was all for the comedic purpose

3. With comedic films their marketing is usually social media and uploading ads that break the fourth wall. For example, "Deadpool" was one of those movies that broke the fourth wall during the movie and they kept that theme going within the ads.

Deadpool (2016)

Deadpool was a comedy movie released in 2016 and is still being used as a great example for a comedy film that used great marketing techniques and was one of those movies that broke the fourth wall so seemingly that it flowed with the movie extravagantly. It fits the Comedy genre due to the fact that Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) is a comedic character within itself and he only has sarcasm when he speaks.

Home Alone (1990)

Home Alone is a festive comedy film that will go down as a classic and can never be topped (in my opinion). Home Alone goes with the comedy genre because it has the elements of what a child would do to defend himself. It shows child like traps and sarcastic remarks from Kevin himself talking to the Home Invaders. The Home Invaders also have their own sense of humor which adds on to the comedic value of the film.
